the final itinerary
after one week of intensive research of diverse information sources (including russian websites with original timetables of the Russian Railways) and the great help of my colleague and friend in our Moscow office the itinerary is now final. It’s really important to have a detailed planning ahead of your yourney because of so many dependencies.
It’s not possible to leave the Transsiberian train spontaneously on the station to interrupt your yourney for a few days. You need always to have a fixed booking for the wagon and the train. You get your tickets signed with your full name and the passportnumber. Beside that it’s important to book the tickets 45 days in advance because they open the sale of tickets there. And as early as possible you have the chance to get the best places, especially during the busy summer times.
My colleague in Moscow is dealing with that, and he told me that he has feeded his Oulook calender with each single part of my yourney not to miss the ideal date for the purchase of the ticket.
